As effortless and breezy as the record sounds, seeing these guys live really shows how technically complicated the songs are -- from watching Daniel's intricate fingerpicking, to marveling at how Sarah reaches some of those high notes -- they truly put on a fantastic show.
Former members of Vetiver, Daniel Hindman and Sarah Versprille have created a cohesive, introspective album filled with unforgettable melodies, crystalline vocals, soaring synths, and bouncing drum machines -- it's a spiritual and soulful dream pop record, with nods to Cocteau Twins and Talk Talk, layered in misty reverb and warmth. Daniel played guitar on the Damien Jurado record, and Sarah sings on Foxygen's. The duo recently wrapped up a tour w/ Father John Misty, and will tour w/ Widowspeak in the fall.
