An announcement said that the upcoming collaborative record from Half Japanese's Jad Fair and Danielson would be "a sunshine-bright outlook of positive encouragement to keep 'rockin' on the side of goooood.'" The title track from Solid Gold Heart makes good on that promise.

Beginning as a conversational acoustic ditty, the arrangement swells into a cute, nursery rhyme-like folk rock number. The material on Solid Gold Heart was written around Fair's vocal demos, and he reminds us that a solid gold heart will never rust and is filled with trust.

The band: a 5 piece w/ Jad, Daniel, Mark Kramer (Shackabilly/Shimmy Disk/Noise New York-Florida/Bongwater etc) and more.

Solid Gold Heart is due out as a stand-alone release on June 24 through Sounds Familyre. It's also part of Fair's four-album residency with Joyful Noise Recordings, and these LPs are being packaged together as a box set.
